VIRUS ALERT
The Rugby Bridge Club (not the League) website is infected by a virus. The site has been invaded by a hacker at the server. If you try to open it you will get a blank page, it is trying to open a fictitious site badabumsrv.com
The virus infected my computer, so I chose not to send out anything or access the club blogs, I was also on holiday last week and not aware of what was happening.
I found the virus JS /Psyme, a Trojan and its download agent using the AVG virus scanner which picked it up in one of it’s daily scans. The AVG scanner is highly recommended and in addition it is free (if you don’t have a virus scanner download it from the internet). Trouble is, AVG only shows you have the virus, it does not eliminate it. I also use Ad-Aware and Spybot-Search and Destroy but Trojans are very difficult to shift.
The solution is to scan with housecall, another online virus and spyware scan, (http://housecall.trendmicro.com) This got my machine clean. This program needs a Core Engine to run, you probably have ActiveX on your machine, if not download javaVM from www.java.com
At the moment I am waiting for the server company to solve the website problem
